This show stopping writing bureau comes with full of character and charm, however still gives a contemporary feel. These colours are on trend at present adding drama and contrast to a room, whilst being very useful and functional to use in a small corner of a room or under a stair well. This piece has been painted in a Danish furniture eggshell paint, in the basalt very dark blue colour  and yellow pink (ochre yellow) from The Little Greene Company. These sold brass rim handle knob hardware were replaced here to accentuate the drama. A new leatherette piece of fabric replaced the torn original leather that could not be restored, to add contrast the the yellow paint. 

This stylish yet very functional bureau opens to reveal a roomy writing table with two drawers set below to store away stationary and desk essentials. This versatile piece works well in the study, home office, living room, the hall or a larger bedroom.
